The CASCATBEL project achieves milestone 10 at the 12th Governing Board Meeting

The 12th CASCATBEL Governing Board meeting was celebrated last 24th and 25th April 2017 in Birmingham (United Kingdom). Aston University hosted the meeting and it joined 23 representatives from 14 partners.

Progress and achievements in the different project tasks were presented and future actions were discussed. In particular, the work package 9 was recently launched, which will deal with the design of the integrated process based on results of pilot plant experiments. The viability of the process at commercial scale will also be determined including the assessment of its environmental impacts.

In addition, milestone 10 was achieved, aimed to the selection of the optimum catalyst and operation conditions for bio-oil intermediate deoxygenation step.
